Preferentially transcribed in hairless cells. Moves from atrichoblasts into trichoblast via plasmodesmata in a tissue-specific mode. N-terminus and part of the Myb domain are required for this movement, with W76 playing a crucial role. Capability to increase the size-exclusion limit of plasmodesmata. Regulated by WEREWOLF.
