Description : 11.8.1 lipid metabolism.exotics (steroids, squalene etc).sphingolipids Encodes one of the two redundant sphingoid base hydroxylases (SBH). Involved in sphingolipid trihydroxy long-chain base (4-hydroxysphinganine) biosynthesis. Double mutants of SBHs were dwarfed and not able to progress from vegetative to reproductive growth.
